By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I want my audience eyes to widen in excitement as they move from panel to panel. I start out with pencil drawing on Bristol. From there I watercolor my drawing to get realistic gradation for my art piece. Then, I scan my artwork into Photoshop to touch up any smudges that appear on the art piece, and I print it on computer paper. Three art influences in my life are Alex Ross, J.G. Jones, and Italian baroque paintings. Baroque paintings showed me that the right light can create powerful emotional effects. Rosss work taught me that comic book art doesnt have to be flat colors and ink. It can have layered coloring and smooth gradation. Jones demonstrated that little detailing in the artwork like seam lines in fabric, that most comic book artist do not put into their work. General public view on comic books is that it is for little kids. Thats where realism is so important for comic books. I believe by incorporating realism to the comic book style it can show that comics are meant for a mature audience and stray away from the notion that they are meant just for kids. The themes I like illustrating are theatrical in nature. I lean toward the theatrical because being at the theater you can see and feel human emotion happening in front of you.
